Death Nova is the culprit, you do want it on his bar tho ofc
Try disabling it while you're moving or flag him into the front prior to pulling.

Like Chrissie said, heros with Death Nova will always try to put it on any allies with low health. Minions almost 99% of the time have low health.
Of course it could also be partly do to making minions. When theres ample bodies around as you're running, heros will try to make minions out of any that are near. And by near, I mean as soo as he get slightly within your aggro bubble and sees another corpse, he'll try to make a new one

You may also try to temporarily change the hero behavior to "avoid combat" while moving.

check this crazy idea out.. Go N/A, bind a key for "hero 1 - use skill 7" and make his 7th skill recall. Keep it disabled, target yourself, hit binded key, canceled it when appropriate.
Is it Olias you miss or his Minions? I'm guessing it's the minions.. since he has 0 offensive skills. However, having him 'pop' to your location will make him minions dart to your location.

right away yes deathnova is the culprit, but he's a minion master you don't want him at the front, just wait a second before you engage a group and he'll catch up and be the perfect spot for a minion master... slightly behind everyone else

Pretty much always run /P secondary on MM these days for fall back. It's nice boosting everyone around in an area, it heals minions between battles and it helps hero and his minions keep pace with the party when they fall behind. Round out with we shall return and other random goodness (stand your ground, anthem of weariness if spiritway, never surrender, etc.)

Me, I sort of go forward with some pauses. He catches up. If I want him and minions front and center so the minions aggro first (like with Windriders in HM) then I flag him to a couple feet in front of me and when the minions arrive, release the flag. Usually works.

He will maintain Death Nova on all minions. There are 3 ways to make him stop:
1: Disable it and re-enable before battle
2: Remove it from the build
3: Rethink that build.(See Below)
The reason being at 16 Death Magic AOTL will give you lvl 18 bone horrors as the +1 does'nt kick in until you have consumed corpses. Both Shambling and Animate Bone Horror will give a lvl 19 minion at 17 Death Magic which is really counter productive to the use of Death Nova.
The idea with Death Nova is to do replenishable aoe damage with low level minions,Of which - Animate Bone Minions is ideal because 17DM is equal to a pair of lvl 14 quick dying minions which have approx 42 AR hence quick death and DN trigger.
The build is slightly conflicting in its intended purpose as you have long life minions with an enchantment that relies on death
Edit: I also realise the function of AOTL(It's essentially a KILL button and Nova trigger) and the lack of Blood of the master in the build is due to AOTL itself but I hope this post makes sense :P

4: Just flag Olias forward
With Aotl he would be able to maintain 11 minions without needing BoTM. Unlike a discord MM, a Aotl MM has more minions most of the time, so you dont have to worry about higher level minions as much. Bone minions are still the best choice for a minion bomber.
